چکیده

Nanoparticle (NP) transport is increasingly relevant to subsurface engineering applications such as aquifer characterization and enhanced oil recovery. An efficient field-scale simulation framework critical for predicting NP performance designing applications. In this work, the first time, a streamline-based model presented simulate in systems with heterogeneous permeability. It considers series of smart behaviors exhibited by engineered nanoparticles (NPs), including time-triggered encapsulation, retention, formation damage effects variable nanofluid viscosity. The key methods employed algorithm are (SLS) an operator-splitting (OS) technique modeling transport. implemented in-house code, which verified against analytical solutions, commercial simulator academic codes. Simulations on synthetic three-dimensional (3D) nanocapsule application design case, also performed investigate effect fluid properties displacement pattern existing fluid.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Streamline-based simulation of virus transport resulting from long term artificial recharge in a heterogeneous aquifer

The likelihood for viruses, protozoan oocysts, and other human pathogens to enter groundwater, and in particular, sensitive or vulnerable water supplies, has increased as the numbers of anthropogenic sources such as septic systems, leaking sewers, animal farming operations, and artificial recharge of treated wastewater have proliferated. In this paper, we utilize a detailed numerical model of g...
